Steve's Last Chance Marina is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of old boats and to showcase new marine technologies. Periodically we also highlight a  restoration project.

EWE BOAT (affectionately referred to by my wife as my first love) about which many of the features of this site are presented. EWE BOAT is a 1939 Chris-Craft Model 904 Deluxe Utility with the original Chris-Craft Model K 3-3/8" bore, 85 hp engine.

Electrical covers the lessons learned from rewiring the electrical system on the EWE BOAT. We also present a new transistorized ignition for 6, 8, and 12 volt systems - you can build it yourself!

Mechanical highlights minor mechanical repairs and alterations that have improved the reliability and performance of the same speedboat.

Structural covers the approach we used to used to plank a new bottom - no leaks! We also reveal how to make a maintenance free sole plus an original Chris -Craft design step ladder that will make taking a dip off the stern of your boat next summer less traumatic.

Fuel is what makes the boat go so install a fuel/water separating filter. A Saturday morning project that will save you headaches for years to come.

Finish credits those who do it more so than what is used. We also have a tip for something that you can use for that last wipe down before the boat show.

Links will take you to our favorite sites. We suggest you wear a bib to keep your keyboard dry!

What's New showcases new marine technologies - especially those which are clean, quiet, and low emissions. We also look at an aid for navigation that will get you home despite the fluctuating magnetic deviations introduced by the iron spokes in your steering wheel.

ecoCleen (now Eniva Super21) is a fuel additive to improve engine performance, use less fuel, reduce emissions, and keep your combustion chamber clean.

Dry Dock presents a restoration effort underway. We are currently open for suggestions - any major boat or ship restoration underway in your area? Lets us know ...

Ship's Store is where you can get references where to buy some of the items presented in Steve's Last Chance Marina.

E-Mail Me - We welcome your feedback on this site or suggestions for future topics for discussion.
